The Wind Talks

"Autumn is coming."

Its strange to be able to tell just by feeling this morning's wind. The air today feels different from two days' ago. The air is still damp and humid, but the slight passing wind that playfully came to me this morning also had a strong, persistent quality to it - as if whispering to you to get ready.

Normally these things just creep up on you... seasons change ever so slightly and one day you'll realize its 10 degrees outside instead of 30, and you'd rather stay in bed. On another hand, this one is not so obvious. Its just a change in the wind, and that's all there is to it. There's just a slight chill.

I wonder if this was how pre-computer era people used to tell if rain is coming, or winter will be late. I just find myself a bit surprised to have caught on on the weather change with just a wisp of wind. Maybe we really ARE too busy with our daily lives to notice little things.

Of course, it also helps that I had some tip from the local weekly weather websites, but that's beside the point. You can actually notice the difference.

Just a quaint little thought... and also a few others involving getting out winter clothes from storage. :)
